El representante demócrata Eric Swalwell, de California, anunció este lunes que renunciará al Congreso tras múltiples acusaciones de agresión sexual que provocaron fuertes reclamos bipartidistas para que renunciara su cargo.
Esta decisión culmina una rápida caída política para el legislador, quien cumplió su séptimo mandato y había sido considerado un favorito en la contienda por la gobernación de California antes de retirarse de la contienta cuando surgieron las acusaciones -afirmaciones que él ha seguido negando.
